Sergeant Mike Wolfley has served with the Dixon Police Department for 24 years. Sergeant Wolfley is currently assigned as the Detective Sergeant in the investigations section and has over 20 years of special operations experience. Sergeant Wolfley has taken to task the training of area officers and fire personnel in Active Shooter and Rescue Task Force response and works on contingency planning for critical incidents. Sergeant Wolfley is an A.L.I.C.E. certified instructor and annually trains the staffs and students in the schools of Dixon.  This training and pre-planning aided in a successful resolution of an active shooter event at Dixon High School on May 16, 2018.
