Cheryl D. Watkins will tell you that she believes that education is a means to any end and that she stands on the mantra “the time to do right is always right.” Dr. Watkins is currently responsible for the instruction and achievement of 31 schools in Chicago. She was the founding principal of Pershing West Middle School and has been recognized for her work in education on local, state and national levels. Proudly, she is a Milken Award Winner and a Golden Apple Fellow.
