Phil Abraham has been working in the junior high setting for over 20 years. He began his career teaching in Elk Grove Village with 6th – 8th grade while coordinating athletics and summer school programs as well. Phil moved on to the role of Assistant Principal then Principal in La Grange Park for the past 15+ years. This led him to create and develop master schedules to meet the needs of all learners each year where he met Joe Gage (current Assistant Principal). Gage brings over 15+ years of middle school experience to the table, including leadership roles in both traditional and alternative school settings. Building master schedules has become a focus and passion for Phil and Joe. Within the past 15 years, Abraham and Gage have created multiple layered master schedules from Block - Hybrid Block - A/B Days to Traditional, Shortened Traditional, as well as schedules offering student choice. Their hands-on experience in the administrative field, along with their opportunity to consult with dozens of scheduling experts along the way and create master schedules for others, has created an opportunity for Abraham and Gage to become a valuable asset for school leaders who want more from their master schedules. They have continually produced effective master schedules alongside any demands, requests, constraints, and numbers that have come their way.
