Room 407, PCC

Description

This session will provide current central office or bulding level administrators with key information about the process of stepping into a superintendent's position.  This year's session will have an additional special focus on providing female school leaders the inspiration and encouragement for considering a move into the superintendency, as well as why and how their voices and presence are needed at the highest levels of school district leadership.  Topics include work/life flow, family considerations, time management, self-care and the positive support to pursue career dreams and goals.  Two sitting superintendents, Courtney Orzel and Lindsey Hall, share their journey, challenges, successes and joys.  The search process, contract negotion, job strategies and ethics are topics that will be addressed by two veteran school leaders, Tom Leahy, from IASB and Brent Clark, IASA.
