Description
This presentation will focus thinking outside of the "educational box" to the support social emotional needs of students with trauma. The focus of this presentation will be a case study of a student and the methods used to support him in an environment where he has never felt success. We will explain resilience in developing meaningful relationships with students, along with ways to create and maintain a supportive environment. As a result of this presentation, participants will have a "toolbox" of strategies, sentence starters, and data collection tools for students and the teachers who work with them and support them both emotionally and academically.
